Patrick Browne, Regional Managing Director, EMEA

Patrick Browne joined KT in 2013 as Regional Managing Director for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Born in London, England, Patrick is an industrial engineer by education and spent the first half of his 25 year career improving operational performance in the automotive industry. As a pioneer of lean and six sigma, Patrick was instrumental in reducing costs, improving quality and service levels as well as developing high performing teams in the OEM factories of Peugeot (Coventry, Paris and Madrid) and, later at the European sites of automotive components manufacturer, Delphi.

Over the past 13 years Patrick specialized in adapting these best practice methodologies to the continuous improvement needs of a wide spectrum of business sectors, serving blue chip organizations in aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial services, public sector and media industries.

Based in Luxembourg, at the heart of the continent, Patrick has served clients in most European countries. He is a champion of problem solving and project management and recognizes the need for cultural sensitivity to successfully align change management with local organizational styles and preferences.

An Engineering Graduate of Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham (1988), Patrick is a passionate advocate of "Life Long Learning-by-doing” and he encourages clients to join him in the problem solving process by "going to gemba”. Gemba, from the Japanese meaning "the place where the action is”, this approach encourages teams out of the classroom and into the gemba in order to ensure a thorough and correct situation analysis.
